Totally Free Stuff! Is There Such a Thing?
Whether or not there is such a thing as totally free stuff depends largely on your perspective. What is free? Is it free if you only spend time, and not money, to earn it? Is it free if you pay the cost of shipping? Some things may seem free to most people, but if you are looking for totally free stuff, here are some good places to start.
If you are the type of person who gets excited about sampling a new product at the grocery store, you probably have an appreciation for all totally free stuff. Product samples qualify as totally free stuff, because you are very rarely required to pay their postage. Cosmetic companies mail out free stuff samples of make-up, shampoo, wrinkle creams, etc. It’s true, this free stuff comes in small quantities. But it is also totally free stuff! Why not take a risk, when the risk is possibly finding a new product that you’ll love?
Prizes also qualify as totally free stuff. It is rare that you will be asked to pay for something you have truly won. If you are ever asked to purchase your “prize” be very wary of these offers. Freely enter contests and sweepstakes, because everyone loves winning free stuff!
There are many downloadables that offer totally free stuff as well. Since the offer is being made by someone who has no cost associated with getting their products to you, it’s easy to see why they might choose to offer free stuff. There might be one small catch, however, when downloading free software. Note whether you are allowed to keep the software indefinitely, or are simply receiving a short trial version. If you are downloading a trial version, and are required to enter your credit card information, make sure you’ve paid attention to how long you will be able to sample the software before being charged.
Other totally free stuff offers include promotional products (hats, t-shirts, etc.) meant to advertise for a new business, and coupons for either free stuff, or buy-one-get-one free products. There are many, many products being offered as free stuff, but totally free stuff exists as well. You just have to know where to look.
